Black IPA (American Black Ale, Cascadian Dark Ale…whatever) has become one of my absolute favorite styles of beer. Hoppy, malty, roasted, not low in alcohol…it’s decadent. However, this is NOT to style, because this does not use hops from the Cascades, it uses hops from New Zealand and Japan. Japanese Sorachi Ace (lemon/bubblegum/dill) and New Zealand Green Bullet (similar to British hops) are combined to create Ace of Bullets.
